BigBasket, now fully backed by the Tata Group, is gearing up for a nationwide rollout of ultra-fast food delivery, targeting under 10-minute fulfilment by March 2026. The company plans to expand its network of dark stores from 700 to around 1,200 by year-end, in direct competition with quick-commerce rivals like Swiggy Snacc, Blinkit Bistro, and Zepto Cafe. Initial trials in Bengaluru—where 40 dark stores are already live—are showing strong promise. With significant financial muscle and an IPO on the horizon within 18–24 months, BigBasket is firmly positioned in India’s rapid delivery war .
